Are you a student in the Bloomington area looking for a fun summer event to partake in? The Taste of Bloomington, which takes place on Saturday, June 19th, is what you’ve been looking for. As Bloomington’s favorite summer event, the Taste of Bloomington brings together dozens of Bloomington’s best restaurants, local wineries and breweries, and live musical entertainment to create the perfect festival atmosphere.
A few of the many local restaurants that will be present at the event include Fatman’s BBQ etc, El Norteno, and Siam House. The bands that will be performing throughout the day are Pirate Flags, Coyaba, Polka Boy, Cornmeal, and Here Come the Mummies. There will definitely be an eclectic mix of food and music at the Taste of Bloomington.
The festival will be taking place from 3-11 PM place at Showers Common, which is located a short walk away from Bloomington City Hall. Admission to the festival is a student friendly $6 and food items will be priced at $3 or less. Attending the Taste of Bloomington will also help benefit the needy because a portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the Hoosier Hills Food Bank and the Community Kitchen of Monroe County. So get out there, eat some food, listen to some music, and most importantly, have fun!
