Smaller iPad 3?

Saturday, February 19th, 2011

The second-generation iPad hasn’t yet been announced. But already, rumored details of an “iPad 3″ have begun circulating. The speculation continues today, with Apple Insider reporting that the iPad 3 will be smaller than the current 9.7-inch iPad - and could even be considered a “larger iPod touch.” It will have a screen similar to the iPhone 4. According to the most recent prediction, the iPad 3 will have a screen with double the resolution of the current iPad.

It was originally rumored that the iPad 2 would get the Retina display upgrade. But subsequent reports indicated that the yet-to-be-confirmed second-generation device will come with a display that is thinner than the original iPad, but which has the same resolution. All that said, the iPad 3 might not actually be an “iPad” at all. Instead, rumors indicate that the device may be placed into the iPod line. As always, stay posted, because these types of rumors are subject to change at any moment.

We haven’t yet had a glimpse of the iPad 2, but rumors and Apple’s yearly upgrade cycle suggest that it is, indeed, in production and on track for a spring debut. One of the most glaring omissions from the original iPad was the lack of a camera. This will be rectified on the iPad 2 in a big way. It won’t get just one camera, it will get two of them. Also, the iPad 2 will be thinner than its predecessor and have a flat back. The current iPad has a rounded back, which makes it difficult to set it on a flat surface, like a table, and work without it rocking back and forth. The rounded design was one of the only problems critics noted with the original iPad, and Apple has been quick to fix the problem.

Stay tuned for it’s unveiling sometime in Spring 2011!

In this digital revolution, many people have abandoned their landlines, and have become almost dependent on their handheld devices. Therefore, it has become an imperative and crucial decision to most humans wanting to keep up with the modern times as to which one to pick.

Now, for all of those currently using the Verizon Wireless Network to communicate with the world have more options. The popularity of Apple products, specifically the iPhone, has now paired with the nation’s most popular network! “The move, which requires different chips in the phone from those used in the version already sold through AT&T, America’s second-biggest network, could potentially double iPhone sales in the US.” However, there is a concern that this new product could slow the growth and sales of the Google powered Android technology and devices. iPhone Case Offer Disappoints

Monday, July 19th, 2010

After numerous reports claiming Apple’s new iPhone 4 dropped signal with a single touch, Apple held a press conference on Friday, July 16th to confront the issue. The iPhone 4 press conference, which aimed to address the “design defect”, has upset some, including Apple’s competitors and iPhone 4 owners. Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, admitted Friday “you know, we’re not perfect. We know that, you know that. And phones aren’t perfect either. [...] We first learned that this doesn’t just happen to the iPhone; Nokia, Motorola… other phones have this issue. [...] It’s a challenge for the whole industry. Every phone has weak spots.”

Jobs claims there is no bug and that all phone antennas are subject to human interference. He also said Apple would provide a free case to all iPhone 4 buyers who request one through the company’s web site, beginning at the end of this week.  The case lessens the interference by protecting the antenna from human contact. “However, Apple has indicated that this is not a long-term solution, it has guaranteed the offer only through September 30th, and has not extended it unequivocally to customers who bought cases from third-party vendors. We look forward to a long-term fix from Apple. As things currently stand, the iPhone 4 is still not one of our recommended models,” Consumer Reports said.
