Natural View

Friday, June 18th, 2010

We are all natural creatures. Everything in us screams for a chance to be outside, to breath in fresh gulps of air, to take it all in the way it was all meant to be. The world is just out there, waiting to be explored and adored for all its splendid wonder. And somewhere in us we are just waiting to fully appreciate it for what it really is. Our essence, our core, is in desperate need to stay in touch with our roots. We just want, maybe even need, to be in contact with our inner caveman, if you will.

Campus Place totally understands this need to be au naturale. Not only is the apartment complex affordable, which apeals to your pocket and your inner college student, it has a particularly lovely view from its balconies and patios. Just imagine a nice balmy, summer night and you can finally take a breath from your hard day of work and just enjoy all the world has to offer. The moon beaming down on you, the crickets buzzing and you step onto your patio to count the stars. It’s definately worth the miniscule prize that Campus Place calls rent.

Puppy Pals

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

Remember when you were scared of the dark as a little kid? Do you recall how you tried to imagine away the darkness but it didn’t work? And then your favorite pooch trotted into your room, on cue, licked her chubby finger tips and bounced his way right back out of the dark. Your fears for the night were eased and you fell asleep feeling unconditionally loved and wonderfully safe. The next morning you woke up and fairly flew to your heroic canine companion. You just couldn’t resist showering him with treats and rewarding him with an extra long walk. From that day on the doggy human bond was unbreakable. Not that you ever tried to break it anyway.

That’s the good thing about Campus Place. The top of the line apartments knows the sweet feeling of having an always loyal companion at your side. They know that having big, brown eyes stare up at you with complete faith is just the booster that some people need. With apartments that allow furry friends, Campus Place is making sure to cater to the animal lovers in the bunch. And they don’t cut any of the other amenities just because you have a puppy wagging beside you. Nope, you and your fuzzball sidekick will continue to live it up and rock out because that’s the way it is supposed to be.

Keep Your Money

Wednesday, May 19th, 2010

Getting a good job is as much part of the summer as bikinis, tanning and vacationing. The busy rush to and from work, melting away under the scalding summer sun…yes, that is definately part of what it is to finally take a break. College students love to earn as much money as possible so they can splurge on a new car or buy that absolutely beautiful new wardrobe they have been dying for. Of course there is the monotony of trifles such as bills and gas. It’s everyday life of course, but the summer offers a hope of escape.

Instead of splurging that six hundred dollar check on nonsense it is important to make sure you put a little bit aside for a rainy day. An emergency fund is exactly that; funds set up for emergencies. Unless you are psychic you won’t be able to predict when your car will start to moan and whine, nor will you be able to know when that speeding ticket is coming your way. Besides, being just a bit frugal and saving is a good habit to get into it. It makes you more accountable to your wallet and helps you balance out your account. So Fresno State students, while taking out some “me time” money is always healthy, don’t forget to keep it realistic by putting some into savings!

Iron Man 2

Monday, May 10th, 2010

Who doesn’t like a little bit of action, beautiful women and a hilarious lead actor? Iron Man 2 is now in movie theaters and the reviews are stunning. People are going into the theater with high expectations and are coming out with all their needs met. The movie is simply put a must see for the summer. Robert Downey Jr. does a fabulous job of portraying Tony Stark and Mrs. Paltrow and Scarlett add the femininity that is essential to such a masculine movie. Don’t worry ladies, Iron Man 2 still appeals to the female audience because of it’s refusal to let Scarlett become a wimpy damsel in distress and its subtle play for romance.

The graphics aren’t far behind Transformers and Stan Lee’s world of high technology covers your senses in adrenaline and excitement. The none stop action makes for some serious heart racing and the witty quips from Mr. Stark break up the tension and give you just a bit of insight into the man with maybe too much fame. And a high five definately goes out to Mikey Rourke who plays the villain Ivan Vanko. His Russian accent is definately well practiced and the dirty swagger of the guy is exceptional with the character. All in all, without giving away the story, Iron Man 2 is worth the little chunk of change to see. You won’t regret it and you might even be compelled to go out and buy it asap!
