George Lopez is Headed to San Antonio

Mexican-American comedian, George Lopez will be performing at The Majestic Theatre on July 15th, 16th, and 17th. The 50-Year old California funnyman promises to provide his audience with a night of fun, laughter, and comic entertainment.

Lopez is best known as the main character of the ABC sitcom, George Lopez, which aired from 2002-2007 and brought in millions of nightly viewers nationwide. The show featured Lopez as a manager for an airplane parts factory and showcased his comedic work life and home life. Lopez currently is the host of the late-night TBS talk show, Lopez Tonight, making him the first Mexican-American to host a late-night talk show on an English language network. He also has starred in several notable movies such as Sharkboy and Lavagirl, Beverly Hills Chihuahua, and Valentine’s Day and has made television appearances in Reno 911 and The Naked Brothers Band.

Vans Warped Tour Coming to San Antonio!

The tour started in 1995 and during that historic first edition it showcased renowned bands Sublime and No Doubt and has greatly expanded since then.

Fiesta 2011 Is Here!

It’s party time in San Antonio! That’s right everybody, San Antonio’s biggest festival of the year has officially started as of today! Not familiar with Fiesta? It’s an annual spring festival with origins dating back to the late 1800s which begun as a single event to honor the memory of the battles of The Alamo and San Jacinto. This event is crucial to San Antonio’s economy as it gives the city about $285 million each year. Participants can enjoy more than 100 events taking place all over the city.

Fiesta officially started on April 10th and will last until April 18th. The San Antonio Conversation Society will be holding perennially popular “Night Out In Old San Antonio” (NIOSA) from April 12th through 15th. NIOSA celebrates the city’s unique heritage and features 240 assorted food and drink booths and more than a dozen entertainment stages which showcase the city’s diversity. Another vital Fiesta event is The Battle of Flowers Parade, which is the oldest event and largest parade in San Antonio and attracts crowds of more than 350,000. It is the only parade in the United States produced entirely by women, all of whom are volunteers.
