Yee Haw! It’s that time of the year again folks. That’s right; one of Huntsville’s biggest annual events, the 2010 Walker County Fair and Rodeo officially kicked off on Wednesday, March 24th, with the yearly downtown parade. The event will provide fun for people of all ages and some of the activities that it will feature are a carnival, petting zoo, and a Country-themed American Idol-like event.
The event, hosted by The Walker Country Fair Association will also have many contests, so if you’re a pro domino player, master chili chef, or even a highly skilled photographer, chances are; the fair will provide a contest that will tickle your fancy. If you’re interested in seeing some of the most beautiful women in Huntsville, the Walker County Fair Queen will be crowned during the fair. If you’re interested in the aforementioned events, you just might enjoy the music of Country musician, Joe Miller.
So SHSU students, what are you waiting for? Fork over $5 for a general admission ticket and head over to the rodeo! You don’t want to miss out on one of Texas’ largest events!
