Are You Ready For Super Bulldog Weekend?

Friday, April 9th, 2010

The 2010 version of Super Bulldog Weekend, Mississippi State’s spring homecoming on the campus, will be held the weekend of April 16-18 and it promises to be a fun-filled event for everyone.

Activities include a spring football scrimmage and Southeastern Conference weekend baseball series, which are annual staples of the three-day event.  State athletic officials are planning for a weekend event superior than that of 2009, when Coach Dan Mullen’s first football squad scrimmaged in front of a state-record 31,606 fans, the 13th-largest spring attendance in the country.  Coach John Cohen’s baseball squad is scheduled to play a weekend set against Tennessee. If you’re a soccer fan, you will enjoy the alumni game which will welcome back some of the university’s best soccer talents of previous years.

If sports aren’t your thing, then you might want to check out the pig cooking contest. Pigs will be judged in the categories of whole hog, whole pork shoulder, and pork ribs. After the contest, attendees will be able to enjoy the delicious meat in the annual “Sampling of the Grill.”

No matter what you’re into, you’ll definitely have a blast, so come on out and enjoy a wonderful weekend at the 25th annual Super Bulldog Weekend!
