Facebook is NOT shutting down March 2011.

Wednesday, January 26th, 2011

In a world where you can see what your best friend is doing this very second simply by logging onto Facebook.com, young and old alike have seem to become obsessed with this social networking site. Facebook originated as a college-only site but has sprung to high schools, middle schools, businesses, even worldwide. These days if you do not have a Facebook, people will give you strange looks.

Rapidly spreading on the internet was this idea that Facebook was shutting down March 15, 2011 simply because Mark Zuckerberg “wants his old life back” and wants to “put an end to all this madness.” However, Zuckerberg quickly fired back clarifying that Facebook will not be shut down come March and to spread the word. This multibillion dollar company has big the biggest hit of the 2000’s and has even debuted a movie, The Social Network, about its origins and all the legality issues that came with it.

So luckily for all you Facebook addicts out there, Facebook isn’t going anywhere and is here to stay. Check out YOUR Place Properties apartment personal Facebook page to get all the inside scoop on current specials and events taking place at your clubhouse!

However, knowing how to make the perfect batch of snow cream is vital. First make sure the snow that you get off the ground is clean and newly fallen. Ehow.com gives a great recipe for the best snow cream. Simply read and follow the instructions!

  • 1. Bundle up and gather new pure white snow while its still falling or just after a recent snowfall.
  • 2. Put about 8 cups of the snow into a large mixing bowl. Snow melts very fast so it’s best for you to do the mixing outside.
  • 3. Add to the snow the following; 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of milk and 2 tablespoons of vanilla extract.
  • 4. Mix until very smooth and then add your toppings if any are desired. Add more fresh snow if the snow cream is too thin.  The mixture does not have to be perfect, it’s homemade!
