Dashboard Confessional to Perform in Tampa

Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

Saturday April 17th, Dashboard Confessional will be opening for Bon Jovi at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Florida.  Dashboard Confessional released their first album Swiss Army Romance in 2000.  For the past decade they have accumulated an astounding fan base due to their connection through their lyrics.  Carrabba, the singer of Dashboard only wants his music to be real and stripped, to expose all the emotions of life.  He says, “Music is all things to me.  It’s a respite from real life, but also a place to contemplate and begin to understand what you’re going through.  Music can clarify how things are affecting you.”  And this is indeed how Carrabba’s loyal fans feel.

He is currently on his sixth album, and it is all about the obstacles one may have to encounter in life.  He says that while producing this album, things “kind of fell apart.”  His sister was in a horrible accident and in a coma, while several of his relatives became ill.  He spent a lot of time away from the studio to be with his family, and to sort through his life.

From Dashboard’s first album, to the sixth, the music suggests turning to new beginnings and realizing that life has to go on for the best.  If you are interested in attending this concert and/or have questions, go to TicketMaster.com and enjoy!

Trio in Tampa

Monday, March 8th, 2010

Within the next two months, three of today’s most popular entertainers in the music industry will be performing in the Tampa area.  I’m sure the names Michael Buble, Alicia Keys, and Bon Jovi ring a bell. With music as a big part of all of our lives, one of the three singers/groups mentioned above will be sure suit your taste.

At Amway Arena in Orlando, Florida on March 10th, Michael Buble will kick start his long awaited tour, with a follow up performance at St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa  on March 13th. On his tour’s first day of ticket sales Michael Buble sold over 90,000 tickets, which is a huge indication of his quickly growing fame.

Next, with twelve Grammy awards in her pocket, Alicia Keys is a definite go and see.  Her performance will be Sunday March 28th at 7:30 P.M.  at the St. Pete Times Forum, which is the same venue as Michael Buble’s Concert.  There aren’t many tickets left, so get yours NOW before they’re gone.

Lastly is Bon Jovi.  As a group who lost the spotlight for a short amount of time, Bon Jovi is back with a vengeance.  With all pre-sale tickets sold out, I think it is safe to say that the Bon Jovi 2010 Tour will be anything but a huge success.  Welcome back boys!
