Whenever your neighbors at Wolf Creek come over to your apartment, do you have those special tricks you’ve slaved over teaching your beloved dog to do? Ever thought it would be fun to test Rover’s talents in comparison to other dogs in the neighborhood?
On September 11, 2010, come out to Moore Square Park in downtown Raleigh, NC to see how your pooch stands up to the competition. From 10am to 4pm, dogs of all breeds, shapes, sizes, colors, and genders will be competing in different athletic and even some non-athletic events in the 19th Annual Dog Olympics! The North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine is putting on this entertaining event.
Not only is this a fun event more those who have animals competing, it’s also a fun time for families and friends! Who doesn’t love animals? This charitable event is being sponsored by the Student Chapter of the American Animal Hospital, which is in hopes of raising money for the local animal rescue groups located in Raleigh.
The best part about this event is it’s only $7 to enter your dog to compete! Have a shyer dog & you just want to come and watch? No problem! It’s only $1 per person to enjoy & children 5 & under are free.

- Frisbee Toss
- High Jump
- Look-a-like
- Best Trick
- and Howling Contest, just to name a few.
